Point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) is used during clinical assessment to provide real-time information that can support clinical decision-making. It is particularly useful in evaluating abdominal wall conditions, gallbladder disease, and fluid collections. POCUS complements clinical examination and formal imaging but does not replace radiology-reported ultrasound, CT, or MRI where these are indicated.
I hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Ultrasound and use clinician-performed POCUS as part of structured clinical evaluation where appropriate. The scans shown below are provided for demonstration and educational purposes only.
