Mr. Chughtai consults with both general surgical patients and those with complex HPB (Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary) conditions.
2. What conditions does Mr. Chughtai treat?
Conditions include gallbladder and bile duct issues, abdominal wall hernias, abdominal wall reconstruction, reflux surgery, and cancer second opinion.

4. How can I book an appointment?
Appointments can be booked online through the website or by contacting the individual hospital or clinic directly.
5. Do I need a referral to book a consultation?
A GP referral is preferred, especially for insured patients, but self-referrals are also accepted.
6. Are online consultations available?
Yes, online consultations (Video/Audio calls) are offered and can include advice, prescriptions, and scan booking if needed.
7. How long is a typical consultation?
Consultations usually last between 20–30 minutes.

8. What are the consultation fees?
Nuffield and St Joseph’s Hospitals: £180 (new) / £100 (follow-up)
Oak Tree Clinic: Fee structure may vary — please contact directly for details.
Online Clinics £120(new) / £90(follow-up)
Please note fees are applicable to self paying patients only .
9. Do you see insured patients?
Yes. A full list of accepted insurers is available. BUPA, AXA,Aviva, Vitality, WPA, The Exeter, RM Health and Allianz insurance patients are accepted.
Please confirm coverage with your insurer before booking.
If your insurance provider is not listed, please email us on Admin@sachughtai.com . We are constantly trying to update the list and may still be able to help you.
10. Are self-paying patients accepted?
Absolutely. Transparent pricing is available, please see consultation fee above.
🔍 Scans & Tests
11. Can I book scans or investigations through you?
Yes. Diagnostic scans (ultrasound, CT, MRI, etc.) can be arranged directly during your consultation — either in person or online.
12. Where are scans performed?
Scans are arranged at the hospital or clinic where you are seen, or at another convenient location based on availability.
💊 Prescriptions & Post-Consultation
13. Can prescriptions be issued online?
Yes, following an online consultation, private prescriptions can be issued electronically. Medicines will be delivered via post to your address.
14. What happens after the consultation?
You will receive a written summary, any necessary follow-up instructions, and assistance with booking scans, surgery, or further appointments.

16. Will I need to stay in hospital overnight?
This depends on the procedure. Many surgeries are done as day cases, but some may require overnight admission. This will be discussed during your consultation.
