Point of Care Ultrasound

Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) allows me to perform quick, focused scans during your visit, helping to get answers without delay. I use it to check for problems with the gallbladder, bile ducts, liver, kidneys, and spleen, as well as look for bladder or prostate issues. For women, I can assess the uterus and related structures when needed. It’s also useful for checking lumps and bumps, hernias, and the abdominal wall, especially when evaluating for post-operative fluid collections or swelling.I also use ultrasound to assess circulation issues, such as narrowed neck arteries (carotids), enlarged abdominal aorta, or deep vein clots (DVT).

Please note: POCUS is an adjunct to a full clinical examination. While it has limitations, it significantly improves accuracy compared to examination alone — helping guide decisions and provide reassurance or early action when needed. All this can be done conveniently during your appointment.
